Maya Jama has shut down rumours that she kissed Love Island star Ovie Soko.

Earlier today, fans on Twitter shared unverified reports that the presenter and the professional basketball player had been seen getting close at a nightclub in London.

Jama confirmed her split from rapper Stormzy last month while Soko recently denied reports that he has parted ways with fellow Love Island contestant India Reynolds.

Social media users immediately began to speculate about a romance between the pair, but a representative for Jama quickly quashed the rumours.

“They’ve never met so there’s no truth to this,” they told OK! Online.

Soko and Reynolds were hit with cheating claims last week when posts on Twitter and Instagram alleged that the model was unfaithful while attending a birthday party in Portugal for ex-boyfriend Kieran Gibbs.

Reynolds’ representative shut down the reports, telling Standard Online: “There is no truth in this whatsoever and Ovie and India are still very much together and happy.”

Addressing the speculation in an interview with MailOnline yesterday, Soko said that the pair are “very happy” together.

“Me and India are happy,” he told the paper. “I think that’s definitely the most important thing. We’re very happy.

“Regardless of how many people [there are] in every one of our lives, there will be opinions. And everyone can have their own opinion.”

He described his girlfriend as “a great person - a very genuine, very sweet person.”

He added: “I think whenever you can come across genuine people - whether that be a significant other, a mate, a work colleague - you’ve got to value them.”
