Geordie Shore star Scotty T has offered to become a stepdad to Megan Barton Hanson and Wes Nelson’s hamster in the wake of their split.

The couple, who parodied Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s “consciously uncoupling” speech, bizarrely asked for privacy for their “wonderful hamster” Jon Snow.

Scotty T, who is dating Instagram influencer Chloe Elizabeth Wilson, offered to take up co-parenting duties for the animal.

“You looking for a stepdad for your hamster babe x @MeganBHanson,” he wrote on Twitter.

Barton Hanson, 24, announced the sad news that she and Wes had split after just seven months last Saturday.

Posting on her Instagram stories, she wrote: “I can’t thank you all enough for your support. It makes it all worthwhile. (The endless trolling, negative stories, dealing with publicly breaking up, being papped having to force a smile when my whole world is crumbling).

“Feels like I can’t put a foot right BUT knowing I can help motivate/ inspire people even a TINY bit makes me want to continue on in the public eye. I’m determined to make 2019 a positive year.”

Nelson’s skating partner Vanessa Bauer and Barton Hanson had previously locked horns over Nelson’s appearance on the show, with the Love Island star slamming Bauer for not inviting her to training sessions and accusing her of announcing her own break-up for publicity.
