Michael Bublé has revealed that he nearly quit music following his son’s cancer diagnosis, saying that “the health of my children is number one" priority.

The 42-year-old opened about his son Noah’s health battle, which forced him to seriously consider putting his 22-year career behind him.

In an interview with The Herald Sun, Bublé said: “I've been through hell.

“I truly thought I'd never come back to music. Family is what matters. The health of my children is No.1.”

Bublé’s son Noah was diagnosed with stomach cancer in October 2016 at the age of three and has been fighting the disease ever since.

The Canadian singer and his actress wife Luisana Lopilato put their careers on hold to help care for Noah, who is now four.

Last year the couple hailed their son’s recovery a “miracle” following successful treatment.

Lopilato said: “Thanks God, my son is well. When things like those occur, your take on life changes.

“It happened to us. Now I value life much more, the now and the today. I would like to thank people for their support, for the prayers they said, for their love.

“And I want them to know that they reached us and that it helped us a lot to come through this.”

The pair are also parents to two-year-old Elias and are anticipating the birth of their first daughter in the coming weeks.
