Mike Tyson may have taken on the world’s greatest boxers – but he was defeated by a hoverboard.

The former heavyweight champion couldn’t resist trying out his daughter, Milan’s new self-balancing scooter, but failed to get to grips and went crashing to the floor.

Tyson, 49, tweeted a video of himself laughing and spinning around on the toy at home while his daughter warns him to be careful in the background.

But her words fell on deaf ears as her father glides towards the camera before falling backwards and landing hard on his back.

Tyson captioned the video: “Seemed like a good idea to ride my daughter #milantyson #cyboard #hoverboard but guess not...”

He later reassured fans that he was fine following the accident – but the same couldn’t be said for the hoverboard.

Tweeting his 4.9 million followers, he posted: “I kind of cracked my daughters #cyboard. I need to get her another metallic pink! Guys I'm ok.”

Tyson’s attempt to ride the hoverboard comes a day after Australian actor Russel Crowe vented his fury on Twitter at not being allowed to board a plane with his self-balancing scooter.

Tweeting at Virgin Australia, Crowe wrote: “Ridiculous @VirginAustralia. No Segway boards as luggage? Too late to tell us at airport.Kids and I offloaded. Goodbye Virgin. Never again.”
