Supermodel Kate Moss has an added reason for looking so healthy during her pregnancy. Not only has she supposedly given up cigarettes, alcohol and late nights, she has also rented a quiet cottage near Lechlade, Gloucestershire. Kate and boyfriend Jefferson Hack enjoy taking country walks with their celebrity pals much to the fascination of snooty neighbours. "You can rent a three-bedroom cottage for £800 to £1,500 a month," say local agents

Dedicated Freddie Mercury fans might be interested in a two-bedroom flat almost next door to the eight-bedroom Edwardian mansion in Logan Place, Kensington, where the star lived in his final years. Hamptons International is selling the second-floor property in a brand-new development for £525,000. The legendary Queen frontman's home, set in a Japanese garden behind high white walls, still attracts pop pilgrims and graffiti 10 years after his death.

Oh dear, has comedian Frank Skinner done something to annoy former Fantasy Football TV partner and bearded best pal David Baddiel? The pair live in almost adjoining £3 million houses in Belsize Park. But Baddiel, who has a baby named Dolly by his girlfriend, writer Morwenna Banks, has begun house-hunting in Islington. He recently viewed a six-bedroom Georgian house in Cross Street, at £2.5 million, through Currell Islington. Alas, though it had rare office space, it lacked a garden. "I think David really wanted to buy a place that was ready to move straight into," say the agents.

Budding catwalk queen Elizabeth Jagger has decided to sell her two-bedroom Manhattan apartment following the break-up of her three-year relationship with South African model Damien van Zyl. Lizzy, who has just signed a £500,000 deal with French cosmetics giant Lancôme, declares New York to be "soulless". Instead she prefers to occupy a cottage in the garden of her mother Jerry Hall's seven-bedroom mansion on Richmond Hill.
