Noel Edmonds has publicly pleaded with his stalker to stop harassing him.

Edmonds – who has in the past been victim to online abuse and death threats – revealed that the person in question has been bombarding him with emails and has threatened to go to the media about an alleged affair.

Speaking on This Morning, he said: "‘She’ sends me emails of an intimate nature and then it became quite serious when she was accusing me of having an affair with her and she wanted to go to the media and out our relationship.”

He added that he refers to the stalker as ‘she’ but that his “professional advisors believe it’s probably male”.

When asked if he feels threatened he said he worries for his wife Liz.

“I feel threatened in terms of pain that it’s causing Liz and the upset every time I open emails and I don’t like the idea that someone is going to take this further,” he said.

Addressing the stalker he pleaded: "If you are watching now, please stop because this is only going to end very unpleasantly for you because I will have to go to the police."

The presenter also opened up about similar incidents in the past and recalled confronting a man who had set up a website to kill him.

“I’ve subsequently had a guy who set up a website to kill me,” Edmonds said. “I had the option of bringing the police into this but I went down a slightly different route.

“I met him and he went to pieces completely. He had a very simple decision: either I went to the police, or meet me and I want to understand why you want to kill me.”
