One Direction have teamed up with action/2015 to launch a brand new charity initiative to tackle a series of major issues.

The band released a brand new video on Wednesday, urging their fans to raise their voices and have a say on issues including inequality and climate change.

Putting their enormous fanbase and influence to good use, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan ask people to be vocal about what they want from a 'better future'.

Styles says in the video: "At two historic summits in September and December world leaders will make decisions that affect important human issues."

Tomlinson adds: "Now is the time to raise our voices to show that we care."

Horan and Payne then ask fans to be 'creative' and upload either a photo or a video to demonstrate how they want the world to change.

In a statement the band said: "Young people really do have the power to help end poverty, tackle inequality and to stop dangerous climate change. Now is the time for us to unite, take action and raise our voices to show that we care about the future of our planet."
