Q Awards 2016: Muse, Bastille and James Bay win big as Madness enter Hall of Fame

Muse, Bastille and James Bay were among the big winners at this year’s Q Awards.

The annual bash – which honours some of the biggest names in music – was hosted by DJ Christian Connell at the Roundhouse in London.

Muse were deemed the best act in the world today while U2 took the gong for Best Live Act.

Musical veterans including Blondie (Outstanding Contribution To Music), Ray Davis (Classic Songwriter) and Meat Loaf (Hero) were honoured alongside Madness who were welcomed into the Q Hall of Fame.

Jack Garratt received the Breakthrough Act award while James Bay was awarded the title of Best Solo Artist.

The event attracted a host of stars including former Spice Girl Mel C who caught up with Debbie Harry over a drink.

Muse frontman Matt Bellamy was pictured with Coldplay’s Will Champion while Ronnie Wood enjoyed a date night with wife Sally.

The celebrity couple mingled with guests including U2 as they took a night off from looking after their twin daughters.

Other guests included MIA, Tim Burgess, Johnny Marr, Anne Marie and Carl Barat.
