Rapper Rick Ross is facing assault and kidnapping charges after being arrested at his Atlanta home.
The US musician - real name William Leonard Roberts II - was taken into custody on Wednesday morning following an alleged altercation.
According to reports, Ross, 39, and one of his bodyguards were both arrested two weeks after an alleged assault on a man who was doing work on the star's property.
A statement released from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, reads: "On June 7, 2015 the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation regarding an assault which occurred at a residence on Highway 279 in Fayetteville, Ga.
"The investigation revealed William Roberts and Nadrian James as suspects responsible for the assault.
On June 24, 2015, members of the U.S. Marshalls Southeastern Regional Task Force executed arrest warrants on William Roberts and Nadrian James. They were arrested in Fayetteville, Georgia without incident as a result of this investigation."
Ross, who has had a long-running feud with fellow rapper 50 Cent, was also arrested earlier this month on a misdemeanor marijuana charge afetr he was pulled over by police for having tinted windows.
The rapper's sixth studio album, Mastermind, was released in March last year, debuting at number one on the Billbaord 200 chart
