Rizzle Kicks team up with Jazzy Jeff for new version of classic Fresh Prince hit Summertime

Rizzle Kicks have teamed up with DJ Jazzy Jeff to record a brand new version of Will Smith's Summetime.

The modern twist on the classic 1991 pop song is part of a new collaboration with Very.co.uk, which sees Rochelle Humes starring in the brand new video.

Shot on location in Greenwich Park, the video re-creates the original Fresh Prince track but with a very British twist.

Rizzle Kicks - made up of Jordan Stephens and Harley Alexander-Sule - have kept the original chorus but added their own, fresh lyrics to the verses.

Speaking about collaborating with the Brighton-based duo, Jazzy Jeff admitted that it was nice to re-visit one of the highlights of his career.

He said: "Every summer I’m proud to hear Summertime being played on the airwaves and at summer parties around the world.

"The original video was so much fun for Will and I to shoot, with all our friends, having one big party.

He added: "Summertime represents a very important time in my life and career, so to have the opportunity to relive it with Rizzle Kicks was awesome – I can’t wait to hear the UK’s reaction to this track, fresh once again."
