Ronan Keating has blasted an unnamed British actress for pushing past him at the GQ Awards on Wednesday night.

The singer attended the lavish London event with his wife Storm and the pair were having a chat with model Erin O’Connor and actress Gwendoline Christine when the solo star brushed past.

Speaking on his Magic Breakfast show, he said: “You know the red carpet gets backed up a little bit. Always at all these events, whatever you do there’s a little bit of a queue at the red carpet.

“Storm and I are standing there and having a chat with Erin O’Connor, the model and the lady from Game Of Thrones – Brienne of Tarth [Gwendoline Christie].

“We’re having a chat, having a bit of craic and I can see this figure coming… and they’re moving at speed.

“There’s no one with them, they’re on their own. There’s this kind of flowing Bollywood style dress.

“In they walk, past us, through the queue, past the whole queue, straight to the top of the red carpet, in front of the photographers and boom – hand on the hip.”

Identity: Could Kate Beckinsale be the unnamed actress?

Keating said that he could see others in the queue “looking, going ‘who the f*** does she think she is?’” but neglected to name names.

Co-host Harriet Scott, who had heard the story before, tried to coax Keating into revealing the identity of the actress by relaying details from their earlier conversation.

Scott said: “She’s a British actress, in a big blockbuster about a big event in World War II, something like a pivotal moment in World War II."

Keating responded that he wasn't going to confirm anything, but did say that the British actress had "been around for a while"

It has since been speculated that the actress in question could have been Kate Beckinsale, star of Pearl Harbour and dressed in a red patterned dress with a train.

Magic Breakfast with Ronan and Harriet airs daily from 6am.
