Sam Faiers has been praised by viewers for breastfeeding her baby son live on This Morning.

After arriving late to the ITV studios, the former TOWIE star decided to feed Paul during her interview, as she hadn’t had time to do it en route.

“I’m obviously going to cover up,” she told Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby as she put a blanket over herself.

The majority of viewers were full of praise for the reality star as she was putting the needs of her baby first.

“Good for you @thismorning showing Breastfeeding on the television and good for Sam Faires! What a beautiful little boy! #ThisMorning,” one person wrote on Twitter.

Another posted: “@SamanthaFaiers so much respect for Sam feeding live on #thismorning #breastisbest.”

More cynical viewers thought that it could be a ‘publicity stunt’ ahead of the launch of Faiers’ new show The Mummy Diaries.

One viewer tweeted: “'@SamanthaFaiers quite appropriate that baby needed feeding just when interview started!! Only done it to get people talking!!”

The 25-year-old split opinion back in August when she posted a clip of herself breastfeeding Paul on her Snapchat.

“I’m all for women breast feeding in public but does Sam Faiers really need to put it on her snapchat story,” wrote one person.

“Why are people disturbed about a picture of Sam Faiers breast feeding? It's a natural thing you morons,” another follower posted.

Faiers’ new six-part show follows on from February’s The Baby Diaries, in which her other half Paul was criticised for his approach to fatherhood.
