Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello appeared to confirm recent romance rumours as they were photographed kissing on a trip to the beach.

New images show the singers, who recently collaborated on hit track Senorita, getting close in the sea in Florida, Miami.

The pair were also spotted holding hands as they made their way back to the shore.

The stars, who first collaborated on I Know What You Did Last Summer in 2015, were romantically linked shortly after the release of the highly charged video for Senorita.

They have since spent the Fourth of July together and were reportedly spotted kissing in San Francisco earlier this month, according to US gossip publication TMZ.

A source told E! News that Cabello and Mendes’ existing friendship may have caused their romance to “move quickly.”

“They’ve known each other and been a part of each other’s lives for a while so it’s all very natural and moving quickly,” the insider claimed.

“The timing wasn’t right before but it is right right now. They are going for it without holding back. This step in their relationship is exciting for them both. They haven’t wanted to be apart at all. It’s 24/7 and all out at this point.

“Neither of them want to be away from each other. She has the opportunity to be there with him and she’s taking it.”

Mendes recently apologised to fans after ignoring a fan question about the inspiration behind Senorita during a Q and A session.

Instead of answering the query, he said “I love you guys, have a great time” then walked off the stage.

In a tweet shared after the incident, Mendes said “there was no bad intention” and he had merely tried to turn the “last question” into “a lighthearted funny goodbye.”
