Spider-Man’s Tom Holland has no plans to relocate to LA: 'I’m a London boy, born and bred'
Tom Holland says he has no immediate plans to leave London for Hollywood — but admitted being there for the premiere of his Spider-Man movie was “mind-blowing”.
The British actor, 21, who played Billy Elliot in the West End musical, spoke at the world premiere of Spider-Man: Homecoming in Los Angeles.
Holland, who plays the superhero, said: “It’s surreal, I can’t believe this is happening.
"And the fact that I’m here today on Hollywood Boulevard with all of these amazing people, it’s just mind-blowing.
“I can’t describe to you how amazing I feel, this has been such a whirlwind. The fact that this movie is finally coming out is blowing my mind and I’m so honoured to be here.”
Despite his commitment to more films in the franchise, Holland said he was set on staying in the UK — for now: “I’m a London boy, born and bred, and I’ll be there for as long as I can.
"But that said, I do love LA, I love the sunshine and one day I’m sure I’ll be here.”
His co-stars claimed he was the best Spider-Man and Peter Parker so far.Marisa Tomei, who plays Peter’s auntie May Parker, called him “top notch, he’s the best”.
Other guests at the premiere included British actress Karen Gillen, and Holland’s co-stars Michael Keaton and Zendaya.
