Strictly Come Dancing star Dianne Buswell has split from soap star boyfriend Anthony Quinlan, becoming the latest victim of the so-called curse.

Buswell and Quinlan – who plays Pete Barton in Emmerdale –called time on their relationship for good after taking a break earlier this year due to struggles with long-distance.

A representative for Buswell said: “Due to their busy schedules and distance they have split but still remain really close friends.”

Reports have claimed that Quinlan had concerns over Buswell’s closeness to partner Joe Sugg, and they decided “enough is enough” a few weeks ago.

“She’s having a lot of fun with the show at the moment and is enjoying spending time with her dance partner Joe.

“A couple of weeks ago they just decided enough was enough and ended things. There’s not bad blood between them but it looks like a reconciliation is off the cards this time.”

The insider added that they “felt things just weren’t working” with Buswell living down South and Quinlan based in the North.

Standard Online has contacted representatives for Buswell and Quinlan for comment.

The latest split comes just weeks after pictures of Seann Walsh and Katya Jones kissing on a night out emerged, resulting in the end of Walsh’s relationship.

Walsh was dumped by his girlfriend of five years Rebecca Humphries after the illicit boozy clinch with the actress claiming she had been branded “psycho” for suspecting something had been going on between the pair .

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday October 20 at 6.45pm on BBC One.
