The surgeon who operated on Kanye West’s mother has asked to be removed from the rapper's planned album artwork.

Plastic surgeon Jan Adams, who operated on Donda West prior to her death, has pleaded with the rapper not to use an image of his face for the cover of his new album.

The Famous singer tweeted that he would be using the image of Adams in a bid “to forgive and stop hating.”

He also tweeted how the album would potentially be titled “Love Everyone.”

Adams reportedly gave Donda West liposuction, a tummy stuck and breast reduction in November 2007, however, she died the following day after reporting pain and tightness in her chest.

A coroner at the time reportedly said: “[There was] no evidence of a surgical or anaesthetic misadventure.

“The final manner of death could not be determined. Multiple post-operative factors could have played a role in the death.

“The exact contribution of each factor could not be determined.”

Adams penned an open letter to the rapper, requesting him to “cease and desist” from using the image.

He wrote: “I don’t want to seem ungrateful. I just think that if in fact this conversion to love is genuine on your part, then it’s inappropriate to drag the negativity of the past with it.”

Adams went on to give a description of the events surrounding the death, adding: “Don’t put my picture out there and pretend you are about love. Love deals with the truth.

“Over the past 10 years I have tolerated all the errors, misinformation and lies told by reporters, journalists and people on the street out of respect for doctor-patient privilege and your mother.”

West responded to the letter on Twitter, writing: “This is amazing. Thank you so much for this connection brother. I can’t wait to sit with you and start healing.”
