Teen Choice Awards 2015: Vin Diesel pays moving tribute to Paul Walker and daughter Meadow

Vin Diesel paid a moving tribute to late actor Paul Walker and his daughter Meadow as he took to the stage at the Teen Choice Awards.

The star made sure that he dedicated his speech to his friend as he accepted the award for Best Action Film for Furious 7.

Speaking to the audience on Sunday night, he said: “We are a true, true, true family. You fans have been so incredible to us and have encouraged us and made us reach higher each time.

“I can't stand here and be rewarded like this without talking about somebody very, very, very important to us.”

He added: "One of the best lessons in our lives is the fact that we had the opportunity call Pablo our brother. Paul Walker is here in spirit with us.”

Diesel then singled out his goddaughter Meadow, praising her for keeping everyone ‘encouraged’ despite her father’s sad death.

He said: “And since this is a Teen Choice award, you beautiful teens, there is one teen in the audience that is a part of the family that kept us going.

"It's Paul Walker's family – his parents and his brothers – that kept us encouraged while we were making Furious 7, but there is one very, very special teen here, and her name is Meadow Walker.”

The song See You Again, by Wiz Khalifa, which was recorded as a tribute to Walker, was named Best Movie Soundtrack.
