Rylan Clark-Neal was struggling to concentrate on This Morning as he freaked out over the ‘River Thames Monster’.

The TV presenter – who is standing in for Eammon Holmes – became panicked that the Loch Ness Monster look-a-like signalled the end of the world.

Co-host Ruth Langsford explained that the mysterious being had been captured on video by a tourist who was travelling on the Emirates Air Line near Greenwich.

On seeing the YouTube footage Clark-Neal shrieked: “There’s something going on and I don’t like it. There’s a problem.”

He continued: “We’re all gonna die this is the end – this is it. Look at the size of that shadow. It’s the size of the Dome.”

In an attempt to calm him, Langsford said: “That’s a wake of something.”

Panicked, Clark-Neal shouted: “A wake? We’ll all be going to a wake if that gets us. I’m serious there’s something wrong. The police are out. They’re all out looking for it.”

The Celebrity Big Brother presenter also joked that the mysterious creature is the Loch Ness Monster who has simply “gone on holiday and he’s come down to see Adele at the O2”.

Later in the show Langsford pretended she had seen something in the River prompting the presenter to leap up in the air and scream.

It's not the first time Clark-Neal has freaked out on the ITV show.

Last month he snapped at Phillip Schofield after he was “attacked” by a moth while presenting his showbiz segment.

After spotting the winged insect he screamed: "What, what is it? Get it off me! Get it off me! I am being attacked by a moth."
