Top of the poops: Harry Styles has bird poo facials to clear spots

Last month Harry Styles admitted he was unlucky enough to have a bird poo on him, but now it seems the One Direction star now can't get enough of bird droppings as he opts for an unusual choice of facial treatment.

Styles has been having droppings rubbed onto his face as part of an intensive course of treatments, traditionally known in Japan as the Geisha facial, in an attempt to clear up his acne before the group's world tour begins in Colombia tonight.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Harry's been having a bird poo facial everyday in the run-up to the tour. He doesn't want to be as spotty as he's been in the past. He's really struggled with his skin over the years."

And Styles isn’t the only celebrity known to indulge in this type of facial, where treatments can cost anywhere from £100. Victoria Beckham and Tom Cruise reportedly swear by the beauty regime and Styles is thought to have heard about the unusual treatment through his tattoo artist, Freddy Negrete, who assured him that the facial is a favourite with Hollywood stars such as Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.

While the facial - made with powdered excrement from a nightingale bird, rice bran and water - is said to have an unpleasant smell, the 20-year-old singer is seeing positive results already as the formula also includes toning and anti-wrinkle agents.
