She may judge it, but it seems she hasn’t got it – X Factor's Tulisa Contostavlos is unlikely to have made the top 20 with her debut album.

Despite the singer's high profile role on the panel of the ITV show, which saw her perform her songs to millions of viewers at the weekend, the album The Female Boss is understood to have just missed out a top spot in the chart.

It was at number 17 based on one day’s sales when it came out on Monday, but is believed to have slipped further down the ranks.

Contostavlos has had a number one single on the album Young, which came out earlier this year.

Her albums with N-Dubz all fared better too, with debut Uncle B reaching number 11 and the two follow-ups landing in the top 10.

This is yet another blow for X Factor, which has lost 40 percent of its audience in the two years since Contostavlos joined the panel.

The eventual chart ranking will be announced on Sunday by the Official Charts Company – the same night as the X Factor winner is announced.
