Victoria Beckham is celebrating Chinese Valentine’s Day with husband David as the pair enjoy their holiday in southern Italy.

The fashion designer, 45, posted a sweet photograph of the stylish couple together in Puglia.

Her outfit remained in keeping with the theme of the day with a red top, white jeans and gold high heels.

David, 44, meanwhile was seen sporting an olive green shirt, grey trousers, brown belt and grey loafers with black sunglasses.

In one image, posted on her Instagram story, the former England legend is seen laughing as she remains smiling.

“Who knew I was so funny?”, she wrote underneath, while in a second separate post she said: “Happy Chinese Valentine’s Day to those celebrating today.”

The pair - who married in 1999 - are on holiday with their children Brooklyn, 20, Romeo, 16, Cruz, 14 and Harper, 8.

Yesterday David joked about “twinning all summer” with the businesswoman after they both wore the same outfit.

In the photograph, the power couple are seen in matching white t-shirts with beige bottoms - with him wearing trousers and her wearing shorts.

Insisting he wore it first, he said: "#Twinning all summer I had it on first just to be clear."

Chinese Valentine's Day, also known as the Qixi Festival, is a Chinese festival which celebrates a nearly 2,000 year old fairytale originating from the Han Dynasty.

The story involves a goddess, named Zhi Nu, went to the mortal world and met a cow herder named Niu Lang, and the pair fell in love.

It falls on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month on the Chinese calendar.
