Andrew Edmonds

A genuine delight, this special and intimate Soho townhouse enjoys a destination status (especially for romance) totally at odds with its modest size. The food is straightforward, but very reasonably priced, and the unusual wine list has some real bargains. Book well ahead

Masala Zone

Delicious Indian street food with sweet service and great value for money have won a big following for this funky modern diner, just off Carnaby Street.

Zilli Fish

A buzzing and tightly packed Soho fish restaurant where divine lobster and spaghetti is something of a signature dish.

Itsu

Itsu is a place that acts as if it were Fashion Week all year round. It's clean, simple and you can grab the beers from the fridge yourself. Don’t miss out on the terrific deserts. The service is discreet and efficient with waiters who generally leave you alone until you push a little buzzer near your seat.

And in China Town... Aaura

The owners of Aaura may well be devotees of the Yellow Pages, where you find companies such as Aardvark Plumbing doing their best to get to the head of the list, but their Hong Kong’s chef specialities are well worth checking out.
