Brian Conley is one of the UK's much-loved comedians, most famous for hosting the TV classic, the Brian Conley Show in the 90s.

Never one to slow down, last month the funnyman, aged 56, finished his mammoth UK tour 'Still the Greatest Entertainer - In His Price Range' last month.

But how much do we really know about Brian Conley, when did he appear on Strictly and who is his wife, Anne-Marie?

How did Brian Conley make his name?

Brought up in West London, Brian decided to follow his dream of being on stage after going to performing arts school.

He kicked off his TV career as a warm-up man for The Krankies and Terry Wogan before starring in shows such as Five Alive and Live From the Palladium.

He got his big break in 1992 when ITV commissioned variety programme The Brian Conley Show. The show was a massive hit and went on to win multiple awards including a National Television Award for Most Popular Television Performer.

He's also presented the Royal Variety Show an impressive eight times and hosted BBC One's The TV That Made Me.

What TV programmes has he acted in?

As well as making people laugh, Brian has had an extensive career acting in multiple UK TV shows.

Some of his best-known acting roles include Doug 'Dynamo' Digby in The Grimleys and Boothroyd in Last of the Summer Wine.

When was Brian on I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here?

Brian swung into the jungle in 2012 alongside the likes of Helen Flannagan, Charlie Brooks and Linda Robson.

Despite being great entertainment, Brian had to leave I'm A Celeb after just 9 days on medical grounds.

It was later revealed he had stopped taking his anti-depressant medication against the advice of the show bosses.

When was Brian on Strictly Come Dancing?

Brian swapped the stage for the dance floor in 2017 when he waltzed alongside partner Amy Dowden.

When he became the fourth celebrity to be voted off the show, he branded the Strictly studio a "s***hole" and referred to judge Darcey Bussell as "the horny one."

He later had to clarify his comments on Lorraine. He insisted: "I didn't have a rant, I was just having a laugh. And that's all it was. It was a wonderful time."

Who is his wife, Anne-Marie?

Brian married Anne-Marie in 1996 and the pair are still together, celebrating their 21st anniversary in August of last year.

Brian proposed to her while wearing a suit of armour, in typical comedic fashion.

Brian and Anne-Marie have two daughters together.
