Will Smith has denied rumours that he is set to divorce wife Jada Pinkett Smith in a Facebook post.
After months of speculation over the state of their marriage, the A-lister took to social media to set the record straight on Monday night.
The 46-year-old wrote: "Under normal circumstances, I don't usually respond to foolishness. (Because it's contagious) But, so many people have extended me their "deepest condolences" that I figured - "What the hell... I can be foolish, too!"
"So, in the interest of redundant, repetitious, over & over-again-ness... Jada and I are...NOT GETTING A DIVORCE!!!!!!!!!!!!! : -)."
He added: "I promise you all - if I ever decide to divorce my Queen - I SWEAR I'll tell you myself! #Dumb People Should Have to Wear Scarlet D's."
Pinkett Smith later wrote on Twitter: "My king has spoken."
Celebrity couples who split
The explanation comes as more 'sources' claimed that the pair were on the brink of divorce, with one telling Radar Online:
"For Will and Jada, holding it together these past few years has been tough because their marriage has been on life support for a long time.
"They’re exhausted from trying to maintain the facade of a happy union."
The couple have been married since 1997 and have three children together, Jaden, Willow and Trey.
