YouTube star KSI has said that he was “sure he had won” his high-profile match against Logan Paul but wants a rematch in “early summer” next year.

The British YouTube star got into the ring with Paul last weekend in the hotly-anticipated match but the fight ended in a “majority draw ”, something KSI admits was “baffling”.

He told BBC Radio 5 Live: “I feel like I beat him. I watched it back and it definitely isn’t a draw. It definitely is me but it is what it is.

“I’m going to make sure that [rematch in February 2019] doesn’t happen. I’d love it to be like early summer, like May.

“I think that would be perfect for me and everybody else. Because I get to enjoy the rest of the year and not worry too much about training.”

The rematch is currently slated to take place in February at a venue somewhere in America, with New York and Las Vegas the frontrunners.

KSI told the station that although he would “love” the fight to take place in Dubai, he thinks New York would make the most sense given the time difference for fans.

He said: “I wouldn’t want it to be somewhere like Las Vegas or LA. I doubt my audience would want to stay up. They will but it’s long having to stay up that late for the fight. So New York would make more sense.”

And responding to recent criticism throw at “dimwit” YouTube stars, KSI said that he had had the “worst of the worst” directed at him before.

He said: “Fair play, you can say what you want really, I don't care. I've been doing YouTube for so long, so I've had everything from the worst of the worst.

"I guess more people are just interested because of our audience. We have such large audiences, Logan has a huge audience, I have a huge audience, and it's essentially us colliding and there being one winner ... the funny thing is, there wasn't."

KSI, real name Olajide William "JJ" Olatunji, has 4.5 million followers on Twitter and 19.5 million subscribers on his YouTube channel.

He went toe-to-toe with Paul – who hit the headlines earlier this year for his video in Japan – in front of a 17,000 strong crowd in Manchester last Saturday.
