Zayn Malik has taken a rather public swipe at Perrie Edwards’ band Little Mix on Twitter.

The former One Direction star, who called off his engagement to the singer earlier this month, appeared to make a dig at their new single Black Magic.

Malik, 22, retweeted a post that asked fans to retweet if they preferred Fifth Harmony’s Worth It, or favourite if they liked Little Mix’s single.

The rather obviously attack on Little Mix was quickly picked up on by fans, who blasted Malik for being ‘rude’.

The hashtag ‘#ZaynHasNoChill’ promptly began trending on Twitter as supporters of the girl band vented their anger.

Malik is yet to speak out about the split, although this latest tweet appears to suggest that he is not on good terms with Edwards.

The Little Mix star has also remained relatively tight-lipped about the break-up, simply confirming that the pair were no longer together on US television.

The former X Factor stars performed at the Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night, while Malik was a no-show.

Despite being nominated for awards, the singer failed to show up to the ceremony, opting for a quiet night with friends instead.
