Denise Van Outen backs husband Lee Mead in Wicked new role

New mother Denise Van Outen turned out to support her husband Lee Mead as he took to the stage for his new role in the musical Wicked.

The television personality, who gave birth to daughter Betsy earlier this month, donned a back maxi dress and leopard print jacket to attend a guest night celebrating the musical's new cast at London's Apollo Victoria theatre.

Mead, who met his wife while appearing in BBC talent contest Any Dream Will Do, plays Fiyero in the show, which recently won an Olivier award for most popular musical.

Rachel Tucker, who took part in talent search I'd Do Anything, took over the role of Elphaba earlier this year, and Louise Dearman now plays Glinda.

Gavin and Stacey star Joanna Page, presenter Graham Norton and EastEnders star Samantha Womack also posed for photographers ahead of the show.
