Eamonn Holmes looks set to become the new Terry Wogan with the news that he is to host a music show on radio station Magic 105.4.

The former GMTV presenter, 45, will front a three-hour Sunday slot. It will be broadcast in London and via Freeview and satellite nationwide - signalling Holmes's first foray into national music radio.

A Magic spokeswoman said: "Listeners across the UK will be able to tune into his easy Irish charm."
