Ed Sheeran has revealed that he does not like to serenade his new mystery girlfriend.

The singer songwriter told US Weekly that despite his crooning talents, he does not sing to his girlfriend privately.

He said: “Because that’s really creepy and weird. If someone did that to you. Like legitimately, if someone sat you down like, 'hey baby, I’ll come play some' you’d be a bit awkward about it, right?”

The “Drunk” singer has previously been linked to singers Ellie Goulding and Taylor Swift, but now it’s believed his new love is not in the celebrity circuit.

He also revealed that his friend Taylor Swift has met the girl, and has given her her seal of approval, saying: “We went for dinner in London. She likes her,”

Ed hasn’t revealed too much about his new girlfriend, wanting to keep her out of the spotlight, but he did reveal her occupation: “[She] works for a food company - well not a food company, she works for a chef.”
