Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has admitted that her relationship with Davide Sanclimenti can be hard work as they attempt to juggle their increasing work commitments.

The 28-year-old reality TV star met her boyfriend, 27, while competing on Love Island over the summer and they are still going strong two months after being crowned winners of the 2022 series.

In addition to landing their own spin-off show Ekin-Su and Davide: Homecomings, she recently signed a lucrative deal with clothing brand Oh Polly and is set to take part in the new series of Dancing On Ice, for which it has been reported she is the highest-paid Love Island star to appear on the show.

Unsurprisingly, romance can sometimes take a back seat, with the Turkish beauty describing their relationship as a “job on its own”.

“Having a relationship is a job on its own!” she told new! magazine. “We want to make sure that we’re both supporting each other and seeing each other. It’s not easy.”

“It was almost like in the villa we liked each other but now it feels like we’re boyfriend and girlfriend. We really feel for each other,” she continued.

Cülcüloğlu said that one thing she has learnt in her relationship with Sanclimenti is that you “have to trust your [partner]” because “it’s not easy” dating whilst in the public eye.

She added: “You just have to communicate with your partner, trust your partner and keep your relationship private.”

The brunette’s remarks follow speculation over her relationship after her Italian partner was seen getting into a taxi with two women, and another man, while she was abroad working.

Addressing the situation on ITV’s This Morning last month, they explained that he had in fact been part of a larger group of people that night.

She said that had been “only limited” taxis available, with Sanclimenti adding that a mutual friend had seen him with “a bunch of people,” rather than just him and the women.

He insisted that he had been in touch with Cülcüloğlu “the whole night so she knew the truth,” and they just laughed about the rumours when they heard them.
