It was a case of desperate wardrobes as Eva Longoria changed into nine different outfits complete with nine different hairstyles for an awards ceremony.

The diminutive 'desperate housewife' arrived at the Alma Awards ceremony, which celebrates Hispanic artists in Los Angeles, in a sparkling silver-and-white knee-length dress with her hair tied loosely up.

But in her role as host she was later seen in a black flamenco-style number, followed by a yellow ball gown, an ostrich feather fringed black-and-white dress, a flowing red robe, a strapless white outfit and a figure-hugging striped frock.

Just in case the audience was getting bored of seeing the TV star in the same old get-up she changed into a skimpy red dress to do a sexy dance routine.

She was later seen leaving backstage in a strapless flowing golden silk-and lace gown.

And her hair stylist was kept busy, too. Longoria had her hair straightened, curled, up, natural, shoulder-length, halfway down her back, sophisticated and in a bob.

Singer Marc Anthony and Oscar-nominated actor Andy Garcia received special tributes at the glitzy ceremony on Sunday.

Awards were also presented in 15 other categories - but unfortunately not for most costume changes.
