Jools Holland played piano for passers by in Leicester Square, kicking off the summer's Sing London events.

As part of the Street Pianos project, 30 pianos have been installed across the city for everyone to play and enjoy. Each is decorated by artist Luke Jerram with a songbook attached for some musical inspiration. Numbers range from Lambeth Walk to Hey Jude.

Keep an eye out for the pianos on streets or in markets, train stations, public squares and parks. For a full list of locations visit www.streetpianos.co.uk

We spoke to Jools Holland about the event. See what he had to say and look out for the moment a 'policeman' tried to steal the limelight
