No legal action is to be taken against footballer Kieron Dyer after he was accused of exposing himself to a woman in a hotel, his lawyer said.

Newcastle United and England footballer Dyer, 27, was quizzed by police after a woman complained that he had indecently exposed himself in a hotel corridor in Norwich.

Graham Shear of law firm Teacher Stern Selby said: "On May 25th, 2006 it was reported that Kieron Dyer had attended a police station in Norwich the previous day in connection with an allegation made by a young lady regarding his conduct.

"At the time I confirm that Kieron Dyer denied any misconduct and that I was also sure that this matter would be resolved quickly. I am now pleased that, in line with Kieron's adamant denial the police and CPS have today confirmed that they have concluded their investigation and absolutely no action whatsoever will be taken against Keiron Dyer."

Dyer moved to Newcastle from Ipswich for £6million in 1999 and has won 16 England caps.
