George Michael has apologised to the manager of the branch of Snappy Snaps he crashed into while under the influence of drugs.

The singer was jailed last year and served one month in prison after he crashed his Range Rover into the shop in Hampstead High Street.

He was a guest on Capital FM's breakfast show this morning and was caught off guard when hosts Johnny Vaughan and Lisa Snowdon rang up the manager of the shop, who was introduced only as "John".

Michael, 47, told him: "I am genuinely sincerely sorry for smashing into your shop."

John replied: "That's fine no problem at all."

The manager explained that the damage had been repaired, and joked: "It would be nice if you visit through the front door one day soon."
