Guy's shoe of love for Madge
Madonna has revealed how husband Guy Ritchie gets back in her good books after a row - by buying her designer shoes.
The Queen of Pop told how Ritchie splashed out on a pair of Jimmy Choo heels after one bust-up.
"Once after an argument I went back to New York and Guy bought me a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes," she told Channel 4's Richard and Judy show.
"They were really sexy lavender sandals with feathers on. Shoes do work - but they wouldn't work now."
Madonna, 46, claims to be less interested in material possessions since taking up the Kabbalah religion.
But she is still a massive fan of the designer shoes, which start at £300 a pair.
The singer appeared on the show to promote her new Kabbalah-inspired children's book The Adventures of Abdi.
Elsewhere in the interview she told how she prefers London to the Big Apple because New Yorkers are so rude.
The Queen of Pop has made her home in the UK with her film director husband, despite owning properties in New York and Los Angeles.
"London is a much mellower version of New York," she explained. "In New York everyone is in your face, even strangers who aren't interested in celebrities talk to you, make comments about what you're wearing, tell you to get out of their way, steal your taxis. There's charm in that but sometimes it can be quite exhausting."
She said of Britain: "Even the paparazzi have manners. They take a few pictures of you, say thank you then leave. I mean, hello? What paparazzi in America says thanks?"
