Oscar-winner Halle Berry has revealed she is more desperate than ever to have a baby as she approaches her 40th birthday.

The X-Men3 star joked she was so keen to have a child that she would do so even if she was not in a long-term relationship.

Berry, whose birthday is in August, told chat show host Oprah Winfrey: "If there's no serious man - whoever I'm dating at the time, I'll say, 'Hey, would you like to have a baby?' "
