Happy 40th Birthday Victoria Beckham! We track Posh's rise to glory...

Victoria Beckham is today celebrating her 40th birthday.

Rising to fame with super girl group the Spice Girls, marrying football hero David Beckham and launching her own incredibly successful fashion line it’s safe to say that Posh Spice has done plenty in her 40 years.

Before becoming Mrs Beckham, Victoria Adams lived with her family in Hertfordshire and from a young age had aspirations for a showbiz career.

In 1993 she saw an advert in Stage magazine for auditions to form a girl band, which shortly after became now household names the Spice Girls, and thus her transformation to Posh Spice began.

Come 1997, the band had released their second album and at a charity football match Posh Spice met David Beckham. After a whirlwind romance the two were engaged in 1998 and welcomed first son Brooklyn in March 1999.

The Spice Girls sadly split in 2000, after the departure of Ginger Spice - Geri Halliwell, and Vic set off to work on her own projects, including a solo singing career and of course – her fashion.

After getting her big break in fashion back in 2004 when she designed a collection, VB Rocks for Rock and Republic designer Michael Ball, she’s never looked back, working with designers such as Emporio Armani as well as creating her own lines such as dVb sunglasses and celebrity favourite collection named after the queen of the catwalk herself, Victoria Beckham.

Fast forward to now and Victoria Beckham and husband Becks are celeb royalty, and have added to their brood with sons Romeo, Cruz and daughter Harper.
