He may be a nine-time Grammy winner, but John Legend has admitted he will always run his new material past his wife Chrissy Teigen.

The 35-year-old US star’s latest single, All Of Me, is an ode to his other half and he revealed she cried when he first played her the ballad.

Legend performed the song at this year’s Grammys, and told the Standard: “It’s still really exciting for me to perform All Of Me.

“I’m proud of it — I feel a deep connection to the lyrics. Chrissy cried the first time she heard it.

“She loved it and she still loves it.”

He joked that the 28-year-old US model is under pressure to look moved every time she is present when he performs it, adding: “I think people look at her every time I sing it, wanting her to cry or react.

“I think there’s probably a pressure on her to react to it every time, but you know, I think she still loves the song.

“I play her most things before everyone else, besides the people I’m working with at the time. She hears a lot of stuff before anyone else and if she doesn’t like it, it may never see the light of day.”

The couple married last September on the banks of Lake Como, Italy.
