It was almost handbags at dawn when Gabby Logan came face to face with dance floor rival Kate Garraway.

The two TV presenters met on the GMTV sofa this morning, days after Logan moaned about being voted off Strictly Come Dancing because she didn't have Garraway's "populist support".

The BBC sport host, 34, and her dance partner James Jordan were booted off the BBC1 show on Saturday after a public vote, despite Garraway, 39, and partner Anton Du Beke, gaining just one point - putting them bottom of the judges' leaderboard.

Booted off: Gabby went out despite being viewed a better dancer

Logan moaned: "I knew I would always struggle for votes as I don't do a show on telly where you have populist support."

Garraway showed little sympathy and defiantly hit back, saying: "You have to realise it's a pantomime. Some people don't. People spend their cash voting so they should get what they want."

Logan admitted she cried all day Sunday, making Garraway look uncomfortable.
