The government has launched a second appeal to stop rapper Snoop Dogg from obtaining a visa to enter the UK.

Immigration judges have refused its attempt to block the star from touring here twice already, but it seems the Home Office is not taking no for an answer.

The Drop It Like It's Hot star has been planning a series of concerts round the country.

Struggle: Snoop Dogg has to fight the Home Office to get into the UK

But now the court of appeal will have to decide if the UK Border Agency should be allowed to challenge the judges' decision.

Snoop, real name Cordozar Calvin Broadus, previously had no trouble getting into the country.

However, when he was arrested for causing a ruckus at Heathrow airport in 2006, authorities took legal action to prevent him coming back.

The 37-year-old's first visa request was rejected in March 2007 when he was scheduled to speak to teenagers in response to the shootings of black boys in Manchester and London.

In January, immigration judge Nehar Bird asserted the government's decision to exclude the rapper was unfounded as he had not caused public disorder.

According to the Guardian, she wrote in her ruling: "The aim was to speak against the glamorising of firearms as a fashion accessory."

However, a spokesman from the UK Border Agency said to the newspaper: "We maintain the immigration judge in the initial hearing made a material error in law.

"We will continue to oppose the entry to the UK of individuals where we believe there may be a risk to the public."
