X-Men Days of Future Past star James McAvoy has called his co-star Jennifer Lawrence a ‘demon’.

James was speaking in an interview with Details magazine, where he spoke about how he was surprised at how well she kept up with her male counterparts.

He told Details magazine: "She's a demon, period. She can throw a punch, she's got a good shot, she can drink. She's proper. I like that girl."

He also spoke about the time he starred opposite actress Angelina Jolie, and how the pair shared a kiss.

Jokingly, he said: "I kissed f***ing Angelina Jolie. Yes, we had a bit of a snog.”

He also joked about how Brad Pitt would feel about the kiss, saying: “I am sure he's deeply unthreatened, deeply unmoved, and probably reassured in his masculinity. Probably."

James plays Professor Charles Xavier in the new movie, which also stars Michael Fassbender as Magneto and Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique.

The film is set to be released in the UK in late May.
