What a way to Kill the part mood. Jamie Hince and Alison Mosshart had a stand-up row at an east London bash last night, with both storming out halfway through the event.

Row: Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince of The Kills

The Kills duo were at the Brick Lane Takeover party and their night began well as they laughed and enjoyed a drink together.

But things at Vibe Bar took a nasty turn when the usually close pair had a very public spat. Our spy said: "They were getting on really well at first, whispering in each others' ears and just generally messing about.

"But all of a sudden something happened and Alison started to look really angry. They then went backstage into the dressing room area and Jamie was sat down while Alison was standing up clearly having stern words with him.

"She looked as though she was close to tears and then she stormed out into the Vibe Bar's courtyard.

"Jamie followed her out and tried to reason with her but she looked really upset. They shared a cigarette then decided to saunter off along Brick Lane together."

Our spy was not close enough to hear what the pair were fighting about, but the good news is that they later tried to bury the hatchet in local curry house Bangla Cafe, where Jamie ordered a vindaloo while Alison had a chicken tikka masala.

After an intense discussion, Alison returned to Vibe Bar but Jamie decided to call it a night and head home.

Guess that's the price you pay for having such a passionate connection with your bandmate.
Maybe the pair were discussing Alison's new clothing range, which is set to go head-to-head with Jamie's girlfriend Kate Moss's Topshop designs.

Alison and Kate are due for a high-street showdown after Alison landed a deal to make a rock'n'roll range for New Look. A mole said: "Alison is going for a tom boy/grunge/rock'n'roll feel. Less girlie than Kate's." It won't be the first time the two have been at odds.

Supermodel Kate has always wanted to perform with her lover in The Kills —something Alison has so far managed to block. Cue yet more fireworks...
