Jamie Lynn Spears shared her heartfelt congrats to I'm A Celebrity 2023 winner Sam Thompson after leaving the show early due to medical reasons.

Former Made In Chelsea star Thompson beat runner-up Tony Bellew, and former UKIP leader Nigel Farage to be crowned the King of the Jungle on Sunday.

Following his win, the younger sister of Britney Spears took to Instagram shortly after the news was announced to congratulate the 31-year-old on his triumph.

The 32-year-old shared on her Instagram Story: “Oh my gosh, Sam, you’re the King of the Jungle, I’m so proud of you.

“I’m so proud of all my campmates.”

The Zoey 101 star then admitted she wished she was “there celebrating with you all” but promised to reunite with them in the future: “We will make up for it in due time, just send me that date please.”

The former child star said that she was “so lucky to have made lifelong friends out of this experience” before adding: “Sam, you have always been my King of the Jungle.”

She signed off her heartfelt post with, “Congratulations, miss y’all”.

The Sweet Magnolias star’s post comes after she snubbed a return to the jungle for final episode alongside food critic Grace Dent, who also failed to return after quitting the series on medical grounds too.

Opening up about her decision to leave camp, she wrote on Instagram at the time: “I can’t wait to share with y’all everything about this once in a lifetime experience, but I don’t even know where to start when trying to describe what an incredibly special time and place I had with some of the absolute best humans I have ever met and consider family now.

“Thank y’all for welcoming me into your living rooms night after night, and for supporting me through all the highs and lows. I’m so grateful for this show, and all of the wonderful people a part of it!

“I will be taking some time to recover and spend time with my family, but looking forward to sharing all about my journey on I’m A Celebrity with everyone! Love y’all."
