Forumla One driver Jenson Button was crowned Britain's Best Looking Bloke, taking pole position away from last year's winner Colin Firth.

The sports star topped a list of 20 names compiled by Wizard Jeans, which asked 1,500 women to rank a selection of male celebrities.

Spooks actor Richard Armitage came in second place, while Oscar winner Firth was in third.

Button's team mate Lewis Hamilton, who is dating former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, was ranked 14th.

Sally Allen of Wizard Jeans said: "A handsome profile is undoubtedly heaven-sent but looking good is usually a much more down-to-earth process for men.

"It's concerned with grooming and making the most of your natural attractiveness. Jenson Button has a natural charm which placed him in pole position in this year's good looks Grand Prix."

The list also included David Beckham in fifth place, cricketer Alastair Cook in ninth and Prince Harry tenth.
