Johnny Depp has a guest role in Paul McCartney’s new music video.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star appears in the music video for Paul’s newest single ‘Early Days’.

In the clip, Paul can be seen playing guitar, with blues guitarists – including Depp – gradually appearing around him in a circle.

The director of the music video, Vincent Haycock, came up with the idea to pay tribute to the beginnings of John Lennon and Paul McCartney's relationship, with scenes inspired by his conversations with McCartney.

He said: ‘Paul's scene was incredibly fun to create. It was just him, some blues players and Johnny Depp jamming on set all day. Patti Smith also turned up on set and hung out, which made the crew very happy. It was one of my favourite days of filming ever.’

It’s the second time Johnny has appeared in a music video with Paul, after last year joining other famous faces, including Meryl Streep and his former girlfriend Kate Moss, in the promo for Paul’s song ‘Queenie Eye’.
