Singer Joss Stone has another embarassment to weather following her shambolic Brits appearance as her third album is being outsold by almost four copies to one by X-Factor runner-up Ray Quinn.

The album, Introducing Joss Stone, is at No12 in the midweek charts, and industry sources say it's unlikely to make the the Top Ten of the album charts this weekend.

Joss Stone: The Devon diva's third album is unlikely to hit the top ten after being outsold four to one by X-Factor runner-up Ray Quinn

Embarassingly for the much-feted soul singer, Quinn's self-titled debut is at the top of the chart and X Factor loser Ben Mills has sold nearly twice as many copies as the Devon Diva with his album Picture Of You.

Riding high: He's top of the chart and his debut album is outselling Joss Stone's album by four copies to one

Joss's first album made No4 in the charts and her second was a No1 smash, but record company sources say Joss should have placed Top Three at least.

A string of PR disasters in the past month have seriously damaged the age public image and could explain why her fans seem to be deserting her in droves.

First she made a cringeworthy Brit Awards appearance, speaking in a ridiculous mid-Atlantic.

Then she went on Chris Moyles' Radio 1 show and alienated her hard-working fans by moaning about life as a multi-millionairess.

In another ill-advised interview she admitted smoking cannabis.

Then she got booed at a London gig after keeping fans waiting for more than two hours.

Joss's PR disasters appear to have scared off her existing fans and sent any potential new ones running for the hills.

Maybe it's time for a stint in PR rehab.
