She had balloons, presents, a fairy outfit and about 40 friends.

In fact the only thing missing from Lila Grace's third birthday party was her mother Kate Moss.

The model, who was dropped by her sponsors for snorting cocaine, is believed to be in a rehabilitation centre in Arizona.

She checked into the Meadows clinic earlier this week after promising her modelling agency she would give up drugs.

As well as treatment for her cocaine problem, Miss Moss is expected to receive counselling for sex addiction.

She is reported to have had lesbian affairs with her friends Sadie Frost and Davinia Taylor as well as three-in-a-bed sex sessions.

Last night it emerged that Miss Taylor is also in rehab after being discovered in bed with Miss Frost's boyfriend.

The millionaire heiress, who is married to football agent David Gardner, checked into a hospital in England after Miss Frost discovered she was sleeping with her boyfriend, dog walker Barry Smith.

Miss Moss's agent refused to confirm reports that she had checked into the clinic. But a source close to her modelling agency said: 'If it was not true we would be denying it.'

The Meadows is one of the most successful rehab clinics in the world. It specialises in sex addiction, which its staff believe is at the root of many drug problems.

The clinic's no-frills treatment has attracted a celebrity clientele including model Elle Macpherson and Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood.

Miss Moss is believed to have flown to Arizona by private jet on Sunday. She has been hiding out in New York since she was pictured snorting cocaine from a CD cover with her boyfriend, singer Pete Doherty, more than two weeks ago.

At first she tried to ignore the revelations. But after three of her advertising deals - with Burberry, Chanel and H&M - were cancelled, she apologised and said she would seek help.

She is not believed to have seen her daughter, who has been looked after by a nanny and her grandparents, since before the scandal.

Miss Moss is said to have spoken to Lila Grace yesterday after begging bosses at the clinic to let her wish her a happy birthday.

The little girl, who was pictured looking happy in her nanny's arms, spent most of yesterday being showered with gifts at Miss Moss's home in St John's Wood, North-West London, where she has been staying.

She then went on to a party at Topsy Turvy near Brent Cross where she was joined by the other children.

Miss Moss is expected to spend at least 30 days at the £4,000-a-week clinic. When she returns to England she is expected be investigated by police and social services about her drug use.

Miss Taylor, 27, is known as the 'Loo Roll Princess' because her father made his £180million fortune selling toilet paper. Until now, she has been one of the lesser known members of the group of friends dubbed the 'Moss Posse'.

Last night, her husband vowed to stand by her. He released a statement which read: 'Contrary to recent newspaper reports (Miss Taylor) and her husband David Gardner have not separated and he is offering her his unconditional support.'
