Kate V Cate: Both a rhapsody in blue
Faced with a red carpet event attended by fellow actress Cate Blanchett, Kate Winslet must have thought long and hard about what to wear, only to turn up in the same colour as her acting rival.
Winslet looked every inch the Hollwood diva in a flowing electric blue designer gown, only to come face-to-face with Cate Blanchett wearing a tight-fitting geometric patterned shift in a similar hue.

Both Winslet and Blanchett won awards for career achievement, at the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards, which were also attended by Brad Pitt.
Blanchett accepted the festival's Career Achievement Award and Winslet, was winner of the festival's Desert Palm Achievement for Acting.
Sienna Miller, looking radiant, showed up to present Jessica Biel with the Rising Star Award.
Miller's new film, "Factory Girl," portrays the life of fashion icon Edie Sedgwick, artist Andy Warhol's muse, who died from an overdose at age 28.
