Lindsay Lohan was spotted shopping in New York with girlfriend Samantha Ronson the same day her family was attending a wake for her paternal grandfather.
Richard Lohan, 73, died on Thursday after a long battle with colon cancer, but it appears the Mean Girls actress decided to stay away from the ceremony amid a bitter public feud with her father.

Born-again Christian Michael Lohan reignited a family row last week after telling reporters he believes Lindsay is drinking again - and her partner Sam is to blame.
He said: 'Samantha drinks and passes the drinks under the table to Lindsay, and behind the scenes it gets worse and worse.'
'Sam is using my daughter. My daughter isn’t working because she’s always with Sam. Even my ex-wife knows it. She just isn’t doing anything about it.'

Lindsay denied the claim, saying: 'He’s out of control. I want him to stop hurting and talking to the media about the people I love.'
Sam also fired back at the allegations with a message on her official blog: 'I feel no need to publicly defend my role in Lindsay's life - I'm just sorry that she likes me more than him.'
'I'm not the one that is so lost that I need to use my relationship with Lindsay to earn a living.'
