The Americans are set to do the impossible - make teenage delinquent Vicky Pollard even more common.

Trailer trash Vicky could be brought to TV screens after US broadcasters began bidding to remake BBC hit show Little Britain.

They plan to use the same format for the show but will pick American stereotypes instead.

Little Britain producer Geoff Posner said: 'I imagine they will be looking for the only gay in Houston' - a reference to Welsh character Daffyd. The series is already screened in the US on cable TV and is watched by 5million viewers.
